The Bay County Sheriff's Office has posted DOUBLE RED FLAGS on the sandy beaches of Bay County. This is due to strong, dangerous surf and increased likelihood of powerful rip currents. When DOUBLE RED FLAGS are posted, this closes Gulf waters to swimmers, by county ordinance. Anyone who enters Gulf waters during the posting of DOUBLE RED FLAGS is subject to arrest.
